Achieving Performance Excellence

At Lubbock ISD, achieving performance excellence begins by setting high expectations for students and making sure we’re monitoring their progress in achieving those goals daily to ensure their success—not just at the end of a unit or a school year. Students, teachers and parents need to know where students are in their learning. We need to make adjustments as needed and celebrate their accomplishments.

We also will be implementing a comprehensive approach to the way that we recognize and reward our educators whose great work results in strong student academic achievement and progress. We need to identify these individuals and share their best practices. And, we need to learn from others across the country about what’s really working in areas such as facilities management and the use of technology to accelerate learning.
