Roster Verification
As part of our RV Framework, LISD provides value-added reports that offer critical information about the academic progress our campuses and teachers helped students make during the school year. To ensure we have the most accurate value-added reports to inform our practices, LISD campus-based staff have the opportunity to participate in the roster verification (linkage) process in the spring.
Roster verification captures the instructional relationship between teachers and students. Ultimately, it gives credit where credit is due—to teachers who work hard every day to accelerate student progress.
2023 Roster Verification Dates
School Set-Up: April 11–17
Teacher Roster Verification: April 18–24
Principal Review and Approval: Ends May 1

Who Participates?
Teachers in the following grades and subjects will review, edit and acknowledge their class roster(s)—indicating when the student was in the classroom and the percentage of assigned instruction provided to each student:
- Grades K–8 ELA/R
- Grades 3–8 Mathematics
- Grades 5 and 8 Science
- Grade 7 Advanced Science
- Grade 8 Social Studies
- Grades 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 whose students take end-of-course exams in Algebra 1, Biology, English 1, English 2, and U.S. History
Principals and their designated support teams play an important role by supporting teachers through the process, answering questions and approving the teacher-verified rosters that have been submitted.
